The story of Daisy and her best friend Modjadji has touched
hearts all over the world. Daisy was just a few hours old when she
was rescued, her feet still wet from the womb and her umbilical
cord still attached. Severely compromised, she became one of
our most challenging orphans. With no colostrum, she had no
immunity, and thus faced a constant battle to stay alive. The team
tirelessly fought for her life. Daisy was too small and sick to be
with the other rhinos, so she was introduced to an orphan zebra.
The two became the best of friends. Daisy's rehabilitation road is
not an easy one, but she has such determination so we will
continue to stand beside her.
