Anchor- June Rhino Adoption

Anchor was the first rhino calf rescued following the Covid-19
lockdown. He was just a few days old and still had his umbilical
cord attached. Arriving in the middle of winter, Anchor stayed in
the Intensive Care Unit for longer than most new admissions. Due
to his small size, he required feeding every two hours, day and
night. Shortly after Anchor's arrival, Yster was rescued and joined
him in the ICU. The two orphans quickly formed a strong
friendship.
Anchor was the first rhino orphan in the group affectionately
known as the CRAFTY 6 (Cotton, Ranger, Anchor, Fred, Tom,
Yster).
